Since 2014, the University of Bordeaux has demonstrated its ability to guide and support a wide range of students, as they embark on ambitious and sometimes atypical career paths. In ten years, the university has become a focal point where destinies intersect, where all have the opportunity to find their own path, sometimes unexpectedly, but always encouraged and supported by the institution. With 54,000 students from a variety of backgrounds, the University of Bordeaux cultivates diversity and promotes inclusion.

Throughout the years, and especially after the health crisis, well-being and quality of student life have become a priority in terms of student support policy. The University of Bordeaux's objective is to ensure that its campuses are places where students can live and flourish, in order to promote student success. The study environment has been considerably enriched, with the opening of the Carreire and Station Marne (Victoire campus) student life hubs, which have sports, coworking and social facilities to foster proximity, social interaction and a campus spirit. Open to the city and firmly rooted in its local community, in 2024 the University of Bordeaux is a unique place conducive to academic study and personal development for all.

The University of Bordeaux is also very attentive to the mental health and specific needs of its students, and provides its community with a range of support services.

"At the University of Bordeaux, we train professionals as well as committed citizens"

Joining an association

Every year, over a hundred associations are active on the university's various campus sites. Culture, sports, environment, humanitarian aid, civic commitment, health... these are just some of the areas in which students can get involved, develop their talents, reveal themselves and acquire new skills.

Finding a student job

The University of Bordeaux regularly recruits students enrolled in initial training for fixed-term jobs reserved for them under the ‘student contract’ scheme.
