Applications are open for the upcoming Bordeaux Summer Schools programme, taking place throughout the months of June and July 2024. Courses cover a variety of disciplines, ranging from cardiology to gender equality to neuroscience and more!
Organised since 2012, the Bordeaux Summer Schools allow international talents to reinforce their skills, gain new knowledge and develop their professional and academic network – all while making the most of Bordeaux during the summer months!
Throughout June and July, the University of Bordeaux will offer 9 high-quality, international and multidisciplinary summer schools for graduate and doctoral students as well as young researchers. Each edition gathers renowned scientists from all over the world, ready to share their research and expertise.
These fee-paying courses are highly selective and demand a notable level of expertise and knowledge in their given fields. English proficiency is essential and must be equivalent to a minimum B2 level according to the Common European Framework of Reference.
Upon completion of the summer school, students are awarded a University of Bordeaux certificate that attests to the knowledge and skills acquired during the course.

The Bordeaux Summer Schools benefit from strong input regarding format and scientific content from the University of Bordeaux Graduate Research School, a central structure that coordinates the doctoral schools and the entire field of doctoral studies. A large majority of the summer schools are organised in collaboration with internationally renowned laboratories and institutes that share their expertise and cutting-edge facilities with the students and researchers that come to Bordeaux over the summer.
