Alongside teaching and research staff, the University of Bordeaux has a support staff of over 2,700 library, engineering, administrative, technical, social and health employees (BIATSS).

Instructional designers, management assistants, human resource managers, admissions managers, heads of administration and finance, IT specialists, technicians of all kinds, maintenance employees, communication officers, academic supervisors, guidance counsellors and librarians, etc.
