The College of Law, Political Science, Economics and Management fosters a policy of innovative, ambitious education that continuously interacts with the socioeconomic environment.

The College of Law, Political Science, Economics and Management (DSPEG) coordinates initial and continuing education in the fields of law, political science, economics, management, economic and social administration and management.

It includes 2 faculties, 2 institutes, 2 departments, 2 regional campus sites, a sports office and internal services. The different entities are spread out over 5 campus sites: Pessac, Bordeaux Bastide, Bordeaux Pey-Berland, Agen and Périgueux.

Students receive high-level teaching with a research-based approach.

With a strong international outlook, the College plays a major role in its region and is a source of attractiveness at the University of Bordeaux.

Activities

The College defines:

  • its educational policy in accordance with the guidelines set by the Academic Council
  • its strategic plans, submitting an annual activity report to be included in the University of Bordeaux's institutional report
  • the allocation of resources for its affiliated components

The College Council approves:

  • the terms and conditions for assessment tests
  • the organisation of transfers between different courses of study
  • the procedures for the internationalisation of courses
  • the implementation of certifications for its courses, lifelong learning, apprenticeships and distance learning
  • the joint processes for professional integration and guidance
  • specific admission procedures

The College is involved in:

  • defining the training component of the institution's strategic plan
  • requests for creation, accreditation and ongoing improvement of diplomas falling within its academic fields
  • calls for educational projects

The LaCT, which stands for 'Laboratory of Transversal Skills', provides support for company transformations and trains DSPEG students using innovative teaching methods:

U-Lab
U-Lab places students and their projects at the centre of the approach, entrusting them with an active role in the training process, putting goodwill and cooperation at the heart of the creative process.

The Law Clinic
The Law Clinic (Clinique du Droit) is a programme providing legal training using a practical approach that takes social reality into account. The clinic activities meet societal needs and place students in authentic situations. The teaching methods developed by the Law Clinic allow students to apply their legal knowledge while developing transversal skills.

Disrupt' Campus
Disrupt' Campus Bordeaux is a programme allowing companies/organisations to launch and/or develop an innovation project (with a digital component) by entrusting it to a team of Master 1 students from complementary backgrounds. Coached by design-thinking experts, students benefit from the university's environment of excellence to develop their projects and offer the company solutions to its problems.
